Welcome to Edwina Mountbatten House. Set in the heart of Romsey on the edge of the New Forest, Edwina Mountbatten House is owned and operated by the Countess Mountbatten of Burma Romsey Memorial Trust, a not for profit organisation.
It was founded in memory of Edwina Mountbatten, 1st Countess Mountbatten of Burma and was established by the generosity of the Mountbatten family, the people of Hampshire, Hampshire County Council and many other supporters, to commemorate her life of dedication to the service of others.
Management of the home is actively overseen by the Board of Trustees. We are a registered charity number 1155615. The Chairman of the Trust is registered as provider of the care home and day to day management is delegated to our Registered Manager, Heidi.
With just 17 care rooms we can provide a very personal service supported by about 25 full and part time staff. We pride ourselves on our low staff turnover.
We provide our residents with a relaxed, homely and secure environment in which their care, well-being and comfort are of prime importance.
We give individually tailored care, supporting our residents to live their lives the way they want. We are one happy family of residents and staff.
We have an open door policy for family and friends who are welcome visitors at any time, including joining in our many shared activities.
